Amey Lou Swindoll Strickland, age 73 passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Diversicare in Eupora, Mississippi. Amey was born on November 17, 1952, in Cumberland, Mississippi to the late Lemon Huey Swindoll and Bessie Sue Dalton Swindoll and was a retired sewing machine operator at Red Cap in Mathiston, Mississippi. Amey is survived by her son, Adam (Jeanette) Strickland of Ackerman, Mississippi; daughter, Lisa (Chris) Lott of Mathiston, Mississippi; ten grandchildren, Chandler (Mary Mae) Strickland, Katlin (Lucas) Bates, Beth (Tucker) Shaw, Matthew (Makiley) Willis, Hunter (Ashley) Hickson, Chasity (J.T.) Moore, Faith (Brittany) Vaughn, Will Lott, Cheyenne (Konner) Tuck and T.J. (Rachael) Hickson; six great grandchildren and four more on the way; one sister, Janice Abbott and an abundance of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lemon Huey Swindoll and Bessie Sue Dalton Swindoll; brother, Everette Swindoll; her sisters, Bonnie Sills, Bobbie Rutledge, Faye Langford, Bernice Liddell, Sue Williamson and Ann Perrigin. Funeral Services for Mrs. Amey will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, Mississippi. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of visitation on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 11:00AM until time for services at 1:00PM at Oliver Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Clarkson Cemetery in Webster County, Mississippi. The Graveside/Committal Services will be held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel instead of Clarkson Cemetery. Bro. Tim Hudson will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Perrigin, Gary Perrigin, Mike Perrigin, Randy Liddell, Timothy Abbott and Wayne Langford. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora is honored to be entrusted with all arrangements.
