Amos Hendrickson (Daddy’O), age 70, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026. He was born June 27, 1955, the son of the late Clurcie and Lee Hendrickson.
Amos's love for life was evident in the way he embraced each day with a radiant smile and a heart full of gratitude. He possessed an innate ability to bring people together, creating lasting memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of all who shared in his journey. His laughter and humor brightened many occasions, and he had a unique and special way of making everyone feel valued and appreciated.
In addition to his parents, Amos is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Hendrickson; daughter, Tonya Price; grandson, Adrian Alan Smith, special sisters, Larraine Warren and Jean Martinez; and brother, Tim Hendrickson.
Left to cherish his memory are his special granddaughter, Tasha “Otis” and her husband, Justin Gregory; grandsons, Bentley Wyrick and Shawn Shelby; sisters, Mary Hendrickson and Sharon “Rab” (Alan) Myers; brother, Robert (Cheri) Hendrickson; nieces, Laura (Andrew) Maiden and Jessica Gent; nephews, Billy Jerome Warren, Marvin (Judy) Barton, Dustin Raines, Gary Schwall and Richard Herzog; special friend, Bella his dog; special friends, Keith Barton and Tony Lamb; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
As we remember Amos, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by abundant love and cherished relationships. His legacy will continue to live on in the memories of all those whose lives he touched. He will be forever remembered, missed, and loved.
The family of Amos Hendrickson (Daddy’O) will receive friends on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Justin Warwick presiding. Music will be provided by the Warwick Family Singers.
At the conclusion of the funeral service, family and friends will travel in procession to Mountainview Cemetery in Harrogate, TN, where graveside services will be held.
