Amos G. Schwartz, age 80, of Monroe, IN, died on Sunday morning, December 8, 2024, at his residence. He was born on June 10, 1944, He was the son of William H. and Mary (Girod) Schwartz. Amos was of the Old Order Amish.

(Leah) Schwartz, Decatur, IN, son - David E. (MaryAnn) Schwartz, LaGrange, IN, son - Sam E. (Erma) Schwartz, Syracuse, IN, son - Marcus E. (Amy) Schwartz, Monroe, IN, daughter - Susan E. (Victor) Hilty, Monroe, IN, daughter - Laura E. (Roy) Schwartz, Syracuse, IN, daughter - Barbara E. (Kevin) Schwartz, Guthrie, KY, daughter - Rosemary E. (Welter) Schwartz, Berne, IN, daughter - Elizabeth E. (Ernest) Wickey, Bluffton, IN - 106 grandchildren - 130 great grandchildren - brother - Daniel G. (Leah) Schwartz, WI, brother - William G. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be Monday, December 9, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Amos G. Schwartz Residence, 2866 W. St. Rd. 124 Monroe, IN.
A funeral service will be held at Amos G. Schwartz Residence 2866 W. St. Rd. 124 Monroe, IN, at 8:30 AM on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, with Bishop Emanuel E. Schwartz officiating. Interment will follow in the Winchester Amish Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
