Amparo "Ampie" Ramirez Salazar, 90, was born October 28, 1932 in Sugar Land, Texas and gained her wings on January 1, 2023 in Houston, Texas. Amparo was the eldest of 3 children born to Candida C. Ramirez and Felix Ramirez, Sr. Amparo was a huge fan of John F. Kennedy, Jr., and was an avid collector of memorabilia related to politics and the music revolution throughout the years. Amparo was a member of Juan Marcos Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas. She loved crossword puzzles, and she had a world of knowledge to share with all who needed. She will be remembered for all her idioms and always ending her conversations with "I loved you first", or "I love you more". She also loved visits and phone calls from anyone who took the time to listen. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Amparo is preceded in death by her parents, Felix Ramirez, Sr. and Candida C. Ramirez; her brother, Felix Ramirez, Jr.; sister in law, Dora A. Ramirez; and her loving husband Donato Salazar. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister, Eudelia Ramirez; her brother in law, Paul Ramirez; her daughters, Delia Chavez and Debora Hernandez; her sons, David Salazar, Abel Salazar, James Salazar, Michael Salazar; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by many other loving relatives who were dear to her heart. May the Cardinals that she loved so much continue to visit us and keep the beautiful memories alive in our hearts forever. Amparo will be deeply missed by all those who made and shared these wonderful memories with her.
