Amy Blanchette Obituary
Amy Tyler (Morrell) Blanchette, 53, of Riverside, died October 16, 2025 in St. Luke's Hospital,
New Bedford. She was the longtime partner of Leo Robinson of Riverside. Born in
Providence, she was the daughter of Ernest "Bill" and Diana (Tyler) Blanchette of North
Smithfield.
Amy graduated from the University of Maine in Orono. She worked as a direct staff member at
Meadowridge Academy, Swansea. Amy was an animal lover who fostered, rescued and
adopted dogs, cats, and bunnies. She was a member of an on-line plant club with expert
knowledge of plants.
Amy was always willing to help others. The calls and messages received by the family from
the recipients of her assistance are greatly appreciated.
Along with her parents, Bill and Dyana, she is survived by her uncle, Wayne Tyler of
Marshfield, MA and her aunt, Deborah Wojciechowski of North Kingstown; and many friends.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025 starting with a visitation at 1PM followed
by a service at 3:30PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket. In
lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends of the North Smithfield
Animal Shelter, PO Box 653, Slatersville, RI 02876
