Amy Kristina (Nagorski) Carmichael was a devoted mother, wife, and daughter that left our world too soon on April 29, 2025. Amy was a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania born on April 25, 1978.
Amy was known as a loving teacher that helped hundreds of students during her 23 years as a Special Education teacher for the City of Springfield. She was known as an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enthusiast of all things Disney and Harry Potter, and loved her children and family more than anything. She is survived by her loving husband Peter Carmichael, daughter Kaitlin (Max) Langford, son Andrew Carmichael, parents James and Mary Nagorski, brother Jason (Rebecca) Nagorski, and many loving nieces and nephews. After winning her battle against brain cancer for 15 years, Amy is being laid to rest.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday May 5, 2025 from 5 PM - 8 PM at Sampson Chapel of the Acres, 21 Tinkham Rd. Springfield, MA.
Visiting hours will also be held in Pittsburgh, PA on Thursday May 8, 2025 from 2 PM - 7 PM at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Township, 15220. (412-563-2800)
Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 AM, Friday, May 9, 2025, in St. Margaret of Scotland Church, St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, 310 Mansfield Ave. Green Tree, 15220. A private burial for the immediate family will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery following the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Amy’s memory at the link below.
