Patrice Pool Carmichael

Patrice Pool Carmichael, age 79, was born November 23, 1946 in Austin, Texas. She passed away February 10, 2026.

A graduate of Arlington High School, Patrice worked as a hairdresser, boutique owner, artist, and property renovation manager. She married Michael Carmichael of Arlington, TX in 1974 and moved to Lancaster, Texas. After a 10-year relocation to Illinois, she and Mike settled in Tyler, Texas for the last 28 years.

Patrice was a gifted artist in a multitude of media: painting, sketching, watercolor, sewing, embroidery, sculpture. She was gracious in sharing her enthusiasm, talent, and love of the arts with others. Patrice was also an active member of Lanes Chapel Methodist Church. Of all her adventures and activities, nothing brought Patrice more joy than her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Anne Pool and George Wilard Pool. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Michael Carmichael; son, Anthony (Kristine) Duncan; daughter, Tammie (Aaron) Mills; her grandchildren, Kathleen Mills, Connor (Erin) Duncan, Harley Sorrells, Alyssa Duncan, Sadie Mills, and Emmy Duncan. She is also survived by her sister, Adaire Fisher; brothers-in-law, Dick Carmichael, Bill Carmichael, Tom (Muriel) Carmichael; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Lanes Chapel Methodist Church in Tyler, Texas. Visitation will begin an hour prior at 10:00am. Burial will be immediately following at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Tyler, Texas
