Amy Crane Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McCorkle Funeral Home - Rockton on Mar. 1, 2026.
Amy G Crane, a remarkable woman born on May 7, 1971, in Hinsdale, IL, was known for her compassionate nature, ambitious spirit, and her unwavering reliability. Amy lived a life that demonstrated a rare blend of love for family, dedication to her profession, and a passion for equestrian pursuits. She resided in Harvard, Illinois, where she touched countless lives and left a profound impact through her contributions in both her personal and professional spheres.

Amy was an accomplished and supportive Emergency Medical Services Coordinator at Advocate Sherman Hospital. As a registered nurse, she tirelessly served her community in the healthcare sector, educating nursing and paramedic students in the Greater Elgin Area. Amy's commitment to her work was deeply rooted in her ambition to make a difference and her reliability that made her a pillar of strength for many. She also held a significant role as a member of the Board of Directors for the Harvard Fire District and EMS, further exemplifying her dedication to her community.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Amy passionately embraced life, finding joy in her love for Dressage Horses. As a professional rider she was known for her skills and grace. She loved to participate in Rendezvous and family functions. However, what mattered most to Amy was her family. She was the beloved mother of Rodney III, Colten Flom, and Sam Flom, and the cherished daughter of Martin & Alice Kauzlrich. She also shared a profound bond with her fiancé, Rodney Flom.

Amy's life was a testament to her supportive nature, her compassionate heart, and her unwavering reliability. She will be missed dearly but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. We invite you to share your memories, stories, and photos of Amy on her memorial page. Each shared memory serves as a comforting reminder of Amy's extraordinary life and the love she had for those around her.
