Amy Elizabeth Curet, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the age of 38. Born on November 3, 1986, in Hammond, Louisiana, Amy attended Holy Ghost Catholic School, St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Louisiana Tech University and received her bachelor's degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. Her life was forever blessed when she gave birth to her son, Jeremiah. Amy was a loving mother who dedicated her life to her son and showered him with love and affection. Amy will be remembered for her kind and thoughtful heart, and her creative, adventurous spirit. She loved nature, and being outdoors with the sun on her face and the wind in her hair. She is missed dearly by her family and will remain in their hearts forever.
Amy is survived by her beloved son, Jeremiah James Curet; parents, Douglas and Carol Motes Curet; sisters, Christie Curet Jackson and Tracy Curet Ward and her husband James Ward; nieces, Caroline, Madeline, Olivia, and nephew, Parish; Jeremiah's father, Timothy Montgomery; and a host of loving extended family.
Family and friends were received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 600 North Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, from 10:00 am until the Funeral Mass begins at 11:00 am.
