Amy Suzanne Gipson, 53, of Ranson, WV passed away Monday, February 12, 2024 at her residence.
Born October 3, 1970 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Donald Woodward and Susan Hammond Woodward of Kearneysville, WV
Amy was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church in Inwood, WV.
Amy was a Grant Management Specialist for NIH with 33 years of service. She loved to mentor other federal employees and received numerous awards. She was a very involved and active member of St Leo Catholic Church. Amy was known for her kind and giving heart, always putting others ahead of herself, and always eager to host events in her home, cooking for days in preparation.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband, of nine great years, Michael, at home, two daughters, Caroline Knight and fiancé, Noah Chronowitz and Christina Martinez and husband, David, one sister, Julie Miller and husband, Troy, one brother, Shane Woodward and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at St. Leo Catholic Church with Father Alfred Obiudu as the Celebrant.
The family will receive friends at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 2:00 -4:00 pm and 6:00 -8:00 pm. A vigil and Rosary will be held at 7:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430 or St. Leo Catholic Church.
