Amy Gossen Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 19, 2025.
With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Amy Renee Gossen at the age of 46 in Virginia Beach, VA. Born on August 31, 1978, in Norfolk, Virginia, Amy lived a life filled with love, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Amy's career was marked by her role as Vice President at Metal Concepts, Inc., where she led with integrity and passion. Her dedication to her work was matched only by her love for the arts and the simple joys in life. She found peace at the beach, joy in Disney magic, especially Tinkerbell, and warmth in the company of her beloved pets, a kitty and two Yorkshire terriers.

Above all, Amy treasured her family, especially her grandson Kayden, who brought immense joy to her life. She delighted in doing puzzles and word searches, capturing memories through scrapbooking, and finding solace in music. Watching the thunderstorms roll through with her daughter, and father, was some of the most beautiful memories that will be held close to the family's heart.

A lifelong member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Amy's faith remained a guiding light even as her attendance lessened in later years. Her spiritual journey was enriched by the community of family and friends.

Amy's legacy of love continues through her father, James F. Gossen, her daughter, Sabrina C. Stallings, her son-in-law, Kenneth L. Belongia, her cherished grandson, Kayden J. Belongia, and her former husband and good friend, Brian T. Stallings. She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Patricia Gossen, and her sister, Jennifer Gossen-Nolte.

A celebration of Amy's life will be held at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations, located at 5401 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23464, on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and honor the beautiful life Amy led.

In remembering Amy, we are reminded of the power of love, family, and faith. Her spirit will forever inspire those who knew her, encouraging us to find beauty in everyday moments and cherish the ones we hold dear.
