Amy Jenkins

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amy Jenkins, age 65, who left us peacefully on March 29, 2025. Amy was a loving partner, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She touched the lives of everyone around her with her selflessness, warmth, and strength.

A Celebration of Amy’s Life will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday April 4, 2025 at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave, Bismarck. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM.

Amy is survived by her life partner, Arlen Emly; son, Russell (Marissa) Jenkins; daughter Jennifer Jenkins; and her grandchildren, Chaynequa (Colton) Jenkins, Alina Jenkins, Cyrenity Jenkins, Emersyn Jenkins, Addelia Jenkins, Makynleigh Jenkins, Jetison Jenkins, and Bridger Jenkins. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Jaymason Jenkins.

Amy was the beloved sister of David, James, and Sheila, and she will be remembered by many other family members and friends whose lives she enriched with her kindness and spirit.

Amy was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Esther Smith; mother, Arline Horack; father, Jerry Horack; and her sisters, Fern Horack-Norrbom and Linda McElfresh.

A true lover of life, Amy found peace in the simple joys. Her favorite color was yellow, and she had a special affection for roses. Floating on the river was one of her greatest pleasures, and she always felt a deep connection to the ocean. Amy’s feisty yet sweet nature made her a cherished figure in her family’s life. She was always there for others, often putting their needs before her own.

Amy’s legacy will live on in the love she gave to her family and friends, and her memory will forever be a beacon of kindness, courage, and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Rest in peace, Amy, you will always be loved.
