Amy Elizabeth Kolp-Ertzbischoff, age 50 of Mount Clemens, Michigan, passed away in the afternoon hours of October 17, 2025, following a valiant battle with cancer. She was born on June 21, 1975, in Mt. Clemens to Gene C. Kolp and Jane A. Mahoney. She was the beloved wife of David Ertzbischoff for just under one year, uniting in marriage on October 25, 2024.

Amy worked as an insurance underwriter for several years. She will be dearly remembered for her amazing ability to read, finishing 367 books cover to cover in only one year as a true Ravenclaw would. Her love of mystery and fantasy were two of her favorites, enjoying nothing more than immersing herself in the amazing stories of Middle Earth, Marvel superheroes, and the Wizarding World of Hogwarts. She was an avid fan of the Detroit sports teams and could often be found adventuring and traveling with her husband and loved ones.

Amy will be deeply missed by her loving family, including her husband David, children Kevin (Alivia) Fouchey, Dezire (Maxwell) Russell, Elle and Emily Fouchey, grandchildren Wayne and Alice Russell, siblings Derek (Brandi) Kolp and Laura (Brian) McNair, niece Morgaine Kolp, nephew Derek Kolp, stepchildren Jeremiah and Anastasia Ertzbischoff, step-grandson Johnathan, parents Gene (Judy) and Jane, among many other cherished extended family members. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Gerald and Betty Mahoney.

Visitation will be held in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main Street, Mt. Clemens on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 2:00 until 8:00 PM. An open-mic celebration of Amy's life will begin at 6:00. In memory of Amy, memorial contributions may be addressed to the American Cancer Society, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
