Paul Douglas Buford, age 66, of Chesterfield, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Born on a spring day-Monday, April 13, 1959-in Mount Clemens, Michigan, Paul was the beloved son of Lawrence and Helen (Smith) Buford. He grew up surrounded by the love and laughter of his four siblings, forming bonds that would last a lifetime.

For over 33 years, Paul was a dedicated employee at Powder-Cote, where he worked as a hi-low driver in the shipping and receiving department. He took great pride in his work and was known for his reliability and strong work ethic.

Outside of work, Paul found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was meticulous about his lawn and always ready to lend a helping hand to neighbors in need. He relaxed to the sounds of country and western music and shared quiet companionship with his cherished cat.

Family was the heart of Paul's world. His home was the gathering place for "Friday Nights at Paul's for Dinner," a tradition filled with laughter, karaoke, and spirited Wii bowling matches. These evenings were a testament to the camaraderie he nurtured among his siblings and their families. Although that one more campfire did not take place, they will all cherish the memories that were created of being together.

Paul will be deeply missed by his siblings: Cheryl (Richard) Schuster, Sheila (the late Jeff) Lazer, Lawrence (Cindy) Buford II, and Sandra (Mark) Renaud, as well as his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Helen, and his nephew Glen Franz.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main Street, Mount Clemens, Michigan.
