Amy Marie Woodward Roberts, age 50, went home to be with the Lord on September 21, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was a native from Shreveport, Louisiana but has spent most of her life here in Alamance County, NC. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and coworker. Amy graduated from Graham High School and Alamance Community College. Soon she would begin her career at the American Board of Pediatrics where she was a dedicated employee for 21 years.
Amy had unwavering faith and a spirit full of love, compassion and kindness. She would light up any room she walked in and was always considered the life of the party. She was the definition of beauty not only by her outward appearance but also on the inside with her beautiful heart. Amy was smart, strong, independent and the most loyal person you would ever know. She loved God, her kids, family, friends and pups more than anything. Along with being anywhere near the water, she always enjoyed a good song to sway to and a Duke basketball or New Orleans Saints game to watch.
Amy will be leaving behind the two biggest loves of her life, her daughter McKenzie Anne Roberts and her son, Lonnie James Roberts. Other survivors include her mother, Leslie Bradford and husband, Ron; sister, Lisa Parker and husband Keith; niece Erin May; Nephew Alex May and girlfriend, Grace and a brother, Todd Woodward.
A service to celebrate Amy’s life will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Tadd Grandstaff. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and other times at her mother’s home.
