We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Amy E. Trykowski, 58, of Waterbury, who left us unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Born in Bristol on April 21, 1967, she was the daughter of the late Lucian and Joan (Vaskalis) Trykowski. Amy spent most of her life in Bristol, where she built a lifetime of cherished memories. Amy was a graduate of Southern Connecticut University and was a former social worker for the State of Connecticut. Amy will be forever celebrated for her unwavering resilience, her love of rock music and her infectious sense of humor. She was a passionate advocate for justice and never hesitated to speak up for what was right. She found joy in life's simple pleasures- watching her favorite soap operas, cheering on the Mets with her nephew Mark over pizza and dessert, dining out and sharing laughter with those around her. Some of her happy moments were spent with her sister Mary and Fred boating or attending a Yankee's game. Amy will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Mary Staudmyer and her husband Fred of Stamford and Carol Trykowski-Ward and her husband Richard of Hudson, MA, as well as her devoted nephews, Mark Trykowski Jr. and Henry Ward. A graveside service for Amy will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 1p.m. in Holy Family Mausoleum at St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol, CT 06010. There will be no calling hours.
