Amy Lynn Xanders, 51, of Lake Helen, Florida, passed away on July 4, 2023, after a three year battle with breast cancer. Amy was born on April 16, 1972, to Dennis and Paula Butcher in Burley, Idaho. During her school age years, she lived in Idaho, Utah, New York, Germany and Maryland where she graduated from Laurel High School in 1990. In 1993, she moved to Florida with her parents and sister. Amy married Butch Xanders on October 10, 1998, and welcomed the role of wife and stepmom to Butchs' daughters Nicole and Sarah. On January 27, 2000, Amy gave birth to their adorable, premature son Craig Edward Xanders. This allowed Amy to accomplish what she wanted in life- to love, be loved, and to have a family of their own. She always loved reading, tending to an assortment of flowers and plants, and mostly spending time with family and friends. Amy excelled at propping up her family and friends supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether it was small, simple task or a giant situation, she loved people with all that she was and would do anything for you. She loved beautiful colors, lit up any room with her amazing smile, and anyone that met her couldn't help but love her. Amy worked as a paralegal for several years at Greenspoon Marder in Orlando and loved the people there so much that they became a part of her family. Amy is survived by her husband Butch Xanders; son, Craig Xanders; Stepdaughter, Nicole Xanders; stepdaughter, Sarah (John)Dempsey; parents, Dennis and Paula Butcher; sister, Laurie (Tommy) Morgan; nephew, Myles Morgan; and seven grandchildren. Amy was preceded in death by parental grandparents, Darrell and Dorothy Butcher; maternal grandparents Rudy and Grace Bonadiman. There will be a visitation with the family on Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 10:00am-11:00am at Baldauff Family Funeral Home located at 1233 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, Fl 32763. The Celebration of Life service will follow directly after 11:00am same location. In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society to help fund the continuation of research to find a cure. https://donate.cancer.org
