Ana is my beloved cousin. We lived together as 2 families. We were in 1rst grade together. She cried. I comforted her. We spoke on the phone recently. Just everyday issues. She mentioned: Her husband was an angel. He was awesome to her.

Julian and my husband, Mike, were classmates in the Class of 2006 of the Permanent Diaconate, Diocese of Allentown. During their formation years, I got to know Ana very well. She was a bright light whose eyes sparkled with happiness, always kind, always loving, always ready to laugh! Their family adopted a puppy from us and named her Phoebe! We mourn the loss of Ana and offer our deepest condolences. Such a special woman.

I met Ana when my husband and I moved to the Bronx around 1970. She was one of five children. And when my son was born her mother was his baby sitter. Ana was always so sweet and a good girl. Her family and mine would go to Church every Sunday and then all the kids in our Church group would come to our home for breakfast which my husband would make. Although we were not blood relatives, we were family in the best sense of the word.
