Hector Manuel Corchado

Hector "Hecky" Corchado, a cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024, at the age of 78 in Brooklyn, NY. Born on April 16, 1946, in Puerto Rico, Hector lived a life marked by joy, resilience, and a deep love for the natural world.
Hecky, as he was affectionately known, moved to New York in his youth, where he would go on to meet and marry the love of his life, Rosaura aka his Princess. Their enduring partnership was blessed with 53 yrs of marriage. The legacy of his love will continue to flourish through his children, Hector, Miguel, Julisa, Javier, his numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to Hector's later years.
Hecky's presence was a source of strength and inspiration for his family. He affectionately teased his loved ones and was an avid storyteller. He was a man of integrity, hard work, and most of all, love-a love that knew no bounds and will continue to guide his family for generations to come.
He will be greatly missed but those who love him take comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on.
