Ana Salgado de Hinojos, 82, of La Mula Potrero de Llano, passed away on January 26th, 2026, in Odessa, TX.
Ana Salgado de Hinojos was born in La Mula Potrero del Llano to Miguel Salgado and Manuela Montoya on December 28, 1943. She married Arturo Hinojos on February 23rd, 1963, in La Mula and had five children. Ana was full of life and lit up every room with her beautiful smile and infectious personality. She worked diligently and supported her husband, Arturo Hinojos, in raising their five children. Listening to music, dancing, and singing were her favorite things to do, as well as traveling and spending time with family. But her family and the love she had for her grandchildren made her the happiest. Ana made a significant impact on our lives, and her absence will be deeply missed.
Ana Salgado de Hinojos is preceded in death by her husband Arturo Hinojos, her parents, sister, three brothers, and son-in-law.
Ana Salgado de Hinojos is survived by her daughter, Socorro Franco, and husband Ramon Franco. Daughter Romelia Leyva, Son Arturo Hinojos and wife Mita Hinojos, Daughter Patricia Hinojos and husband Francisco Mendoza, Son Gerardo Hinojos, and wife Dolores Hinojos. Twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3:00-9:00 p.m., January 29th, 2026, at Martinez Funeral Home Outside Chapel. The rosary will take place at 7:00 p.m.
The funeral will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Catholic church. The burial will follow at the Los Angeles cemetery. Martinez Funeral Home has made all arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Gerardo Hinojos, Arturo Hinojos, Jesús Leyva, Eduardo Armendariz, Francisco Mendoza, Ramon Franco, Adriel Hinojos, and Isael Armendariz.
