Ana Manet Garfield
Ana was born on October 11, 1956, in Isle of Pines, Cuba to Roberto and Anita Manet. She was an only child. At the age of 3, Ana was brought to the United States where her parents tried to make a life in Miami, Florida.
She became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in her teenage years and eventually attended Brigham Young University where she received master in social work.
In 1991, she met Mark Garfield at a Single's get-together and shortly thereafter Ana and Mark were married civilly on August 29, 1992.
They moved to Georgia in November of 1996 and lived there until 2021.
They moved to Blanding in October 2021. Once she settled in, she saw the beauty of this land and the friendliness of the people. She immediately started becoming involved with family history and trying to make the desert bloom around their property.
Earlier this year she was diagnosed with brain cancer and knowing that there was nothing that medical professional could do, decided to rely on her faith to see her through.
Even though her spirit was strong, her body was weak, and she passed away peacefully on November 1st.
Ana is survived by her husband, Mark Garfield of Blanding, Utah.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roberto and Anita Manet.

Ana was my stepmother and though I did not get near enough time to get to know her better I am grateful to have had her in my life.
