Ana Rodriguez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heritage Funeral & Cremation Service on Mar. 31, 2026.
Ana Flores Rodriguez 82, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family. Born in Havana, Cuba on October 30, 1938, she was the last surviving child of seventeen siblings, a reflection of the enduring spirit and deep-rooted family heritage from which she came.

In 1964, Ana immigrated to the United States, beginning a new chapter in her life. She first settled in New Haven, Connecticut, later made her home in Miami, and in 2021 moved to Palm Coast, Florida, where she spent her final years surrounded by loved ones.

In 1965, Ana married her beloved husband, Jose Rodriguez, who preceded her in death in December 2011. Together they built a close-knit and loving family grounded in tradition, care, and devotion. She is survived by her children: Leon, Alex, Cary, Regla, Georgiana, Queti, and Olga. Though Leon and Alex were not her biological children, Ana embraced and raised them as her own, offering them the same boundless love and guidance she gave to all her children.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Ana was the heart of her family-steadfast, nurturing, and welcoming to all. Her home was always open, and she had a remarkable gift for making others feel at ease. She will be remembered as a loving mother, a loyal friend, and a source of comfort and joy to everyone she encountered. She had a vibrant spirit, a love of music and dancing, and a natural talent for gardening that brought beauty to her surroundings. An exceptional cook, Ana found great joy in preparing meals for her family, and her table was a gathering place filled with laughter, warmth, and togetherness.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, numerous extended and adopted family members, and many dear friends. Her legacy of love, resilience, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and cherished her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the African American Cultural Society, 4422 US-1, Palm Coast, Florida.
