Ana Delia Vergara De Rico, 92, of Goshen, died on Friday, October 17, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born January 20, 1933 in La Vega, Cundinamarca, Colombia to Graciliano and Teodomira (Camacho) Vergara.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy J. Rico-Fisher of Elkhart and Esperanza “Hope” (Larry) Lehman of Goshen; and three grandchildren, Jessica Rico, Justin (Nicole) Lehman and Robby Lehman; and three great-grandchildren, Rivers, Jones and Cassady Lehman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a stillborn son; ten siblings in Colombia and a sister in the U.S., Matilda Tavinier.
Ana Delia was one of 12 children and the last one of her siblings to be called home. A skilled professional, Ana Delia dedicated many years to her craft as a seamstress in the local area. She had a passion for creating and loved knitting and various crafts. She was known for her exceptional cooking, her kind and generous spirit, and her love to buy fresh produce from her Amish friends. Her greatest devotion, however, was to her growing family.
The family would like to thank Goshen Hospice and Home Care for the wonderful service and care they showed Ana.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 22 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Funeral will be on Thursday at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Goshen Hospice and Home Care.
