Ananias Mark Shouse Sr., 72, of Musella, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024. A funeral service, to honor his life, will be 2 PM Saturday, October 5, 2024, at FairHaven Funeral Home 4989 Mount Pleasant Church Rd. Macon, Georgia. The family invites friends to join them one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation. His brother-in- law George Mercer will officiate the service.
Mark was born in Jackson, Michigan on May 20, 1952, to the late Mr. Harold Shouse and Mrs. Mildred Shouse. He is described a family man that fully embraced his role as "Papa" for all his grandchildren and great grandchildren; he found his joy simply playing with them. From a young age, he loved "telling stories" to anyone who would listen or believe him; he especially faced his mother's wrath when telling everyone he shared one pair of underwear between the five boys. When he wasn't joking around, he could be found playing pool or throwing darts; taking up the latter because everyone refused to lose to him at pool. He loved his family above all else and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers; Blackie, Red, Daniel, David; sisters, Ann and Virginia.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 53 years, Diane Shouse; sons, Mark (Penny) Shouse Jr., Harold Shouse, Earl (Amy) Shouse; daughters, Lisa (Bill) Ballard, Nancy Shouse; sisters, Liz, Debbie, Barbara, Vada; 10 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
