Andell Quattlebaum Obituary
Born in Monetta, SC on January, 25th, 1957, she was the adoptive daughter of the late Sister Evelyn Quattlebaum Marshall. Andell was a 1975 Graduate of Ridge Spring-Monetta High School. She went on to receive an Associate Degree in Psychology from Piedmont Technical College in 1977. This propelled her into a passionate career in mental health. She worked as a mental health technician at Self Regional Healthcare (formerly Self Memorial Hospital) for several years where she met many lifelong friends. Andell later decided to pursue an education in nursing and obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Piedmont Technical College in 1995. She continued her career in mental health as a registered nurse for some time before moving to the public school system. She retired as a school nurse from Greenwood School District 50 in 2020. Her 40 plus years in healthcare allowed her to touch many lives and leave a lasting impact on her patients and their families. Andell was known for her infectious personality, witty humor, nickname giving, love for cooking and baking, and her green thumb. She possessed a mothering spirit and took many people under her wing through the years. She was lovingly called "The Matriarch" by her family who she was most proud of.
In addition to her adoptive mother, Andell was predeceased by brothers, Herman Quattlebaum, Edward Quattlebaum, and Willie Quattlebaum; a sister, Lorietta Carter; a niece, Patricia West; a great-great-niece Ta'Shya Jay; and her beloved dog, Phoenix Quattlebaum.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Shannon Roundtree (Ken); granddaughter, Brittney Davis; grandson, Zion Davis; great-grandson, Zaiden Davis; sisters, Linda Jay, Laura Williams, and Thomasina (Willie) Brunson; aunt, Mary Gantt (Joe); great-aunt, Pearline Quattlebaum; god-parents, William and Betty Higgins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
The family would especially like to thank their dear friend, Nicole Harling, as well as the staff at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont for their kindness and unwavering support.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 30th at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Greenwood.
Blyth Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting the family.

I found out that my Sweet Friend Andell passed on yesterday. I hate i couldn´t attend her funeral, but I was able to view the Home going Service on line. Andell and I attended Nursing School together and, she was a joy right from the start. Just as everyone expressed, Andell opened up her home and heart to me. I will cherish all the good times and emotional events forever. She was a jewel hand picked by God and, she will be missed. Andell was a blessing to all she met. One of a kind friend. No more pain or suffering, she is cooking, talking and working in Heaven. We loved her but God loves her best and, she is back in his arms RIP my sweet Angel!
