Andranik "Andre" Melkonian

Andranik "Andre" Melkonian age 62, a longtime Warren resident, passed away on 6-28-24. Andre was born in Highland Park, Michigan to the late Avedis and Elfriede Melkonian. Dear father of Erin (James)Mars and Michael Melkonian. Loving grandfather to Harper Mars. Brother of Margaret, Flora, Alex Jr. and the late Dikran Melkonian. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Andre was a retired Custodian for Warren Consolidated Schools primarily working at Sterling Heights High School. Andre's family said "he never met a stranger". He developed many contacts and knew many people wherever he went. One of his favorite get- aways was Ludington, Michigan where he was at peace on Lake Michigan. In his youth, he enjoyed playing baseball and soccer and in later years became a fan of both along with other sports too. Andre loved to hunt. Both wild game and collecting sports cards and other memorabilia. A big fan of Eastern Market, he enjoyed going there just to visit and look around.
