Andre Crawford Sr

Andre Crawford, Sr was born April 14, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to the union of Emmett and Mamie Crawford. Andre was the second of 11 children. He was predeceased by his parents Emmett and Mamie Crawford, sisters: Geraldine Crawford, Purita Crawford, brothers: Darnell Crawford and Tonosean Crawford.

Andre was educated in the Detroit public school system, he attended Marcy Elementary, Barbour Jr. High and graduated from Martin Luther King High in 1970. After graduating from high school, he worked as a mechanic. He then became employed as an auto worker at Chrysler Assembly in Detroit.

Andre had a love for martial arts , nice cars and exquisite suits. Spending time with his family was a great past time he dressed to impress. He never missed holiday meals., you can count on him showing up for every holidays to enjoy those delicious meals with the family. Andre was very fond of extravagant cars. His first new car was a white convertible Boneville.

In 1973 Andre met the love of his life Loretta Boykins and from their union, two children were born, Artiarga Boykins Esters and Andre Crawford, Jr.

Andre leave to cherish his memory, his two children, daughter ; Artiarga Boykins Esters , son Andre Crawford, Jr.,4 grandchildren; Derrick Scott Boykins, Niko Avion Boykins, Andre Wertz, Kamika Crawford, 1 great grandson; King Boykins,

6 siblings , Cheryl Crawford Banks (Lennie), Emmett, Jr (Juanita) Kim Crawford Hirsch (Rick,) Dorian (Dena), Ricardo (Angela), Tanya Crawford Jones and a host of nieces, nephews ,relatives and friends.
