Andrea Gonsales, 90, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, in Chicago, Illinois.
Born on December 19, 1934, in Maunabo, Puerto Rico, Andrea carried the warmth and vibrancy of her birthplace with her throughout her life. She later made Chicago her home, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family and faith. A proud member of St. Aloysius Church, Andrea's Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her with strength and compassion.
Andrea found immense joy in bringing people together through food. Cooking was one of her love languages-her kitchen was always a place of comfort and nourishment for those around her. Whether preparing a cherished family recipe or simply sharing a meal with loved ones, she expressed care and generosity through every dish she made. Her laughter was infectious, filling rooms with warmth and joy that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children Enrique, Carlos (and his wife Joy), Rosa, Lisa, and Maritza; her grandchildren Jacob, Eliza, Cesar Jr., Nicolas, Robert, Alisha, Richard, and J; as well as Aida (husband Cesar), who was not only a daughter-in-law but also part of the family's strong bond. She was predeceased by her husband Angel Pinto and beloved son Cesar.
A funeral service to honor Andrea's life will be held on February 16, 2025, at Casey & Rios Funeral Home, located at 4540 W Diversey Ave in Chicago, Illinois. The service will take place from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Andrea's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort and inspiration to all whose lives she touched.
