Andrea Jordan Rhodes

Andrea Jordan Rhodes, born on November 25, 1986, in Whitfield County, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, at Advent Health Redmond.

A proud 2005 graduate of Dalton High School, Andrea shone as an accomplished athlete, showcasing her skills as a shortstop both for her high school team and her travel team. Her passion for the game reflected the zest she brought to every aspect of her life. Yet, it was not just her athletic prowess that defined her; it was the depth of her love for family that truly illuminated her spirit.

Chad Rhodes, her devoted husband, stood at her side for 17 remarkable years, sharing a life filled with true love and companionship. Together, they created a beautiful family, cherishing three wonderful children: Cason, Liam, and Skylar. To her family, Andrea was not only a mother and wife, but a constant source of support, encouragement, and affection. Her children were the center of her universe, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and uplifting them.

Andrea’s family tree was rich with love and connection. She leaves behind her beloved father, Bruce (Caryl) Jordan, along with her dear mother, Anita (Danny " her Bonus Dad") Goswick. Andrea shared a cherished bond with her grandmother, Martha Pat Jordan. Her affection also extended to her in-laws, Mike and Becky Rhodes,  sister and brother-in-law, Carrie and Garrett Stawn and her nieces, Emelia and Clara Stawn, who embraced her as one of their own. Her aunt, Beverly Jordan, also survived her.

In her journey, Andrea was guided and inspired by the loving memories of those who have gone before her. She was preceded in death by her deceased grandfather, Clifton Tip Jordan, and her paternal grandfathers, Herman "PaPaw" Thomas, as well as her maternal grandmother, Clara "MaMaw" Thomas, and her Aunt Phyllis Thomas and Uncle Michael Thomas.

Services to celebrate Andrea's life will be conducted on Sunday, August 31st at 4 pm at the Center Point Baptist Church. With Rev. Matt Futch and Rev. George Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends and family members are invited to honor Andrea’s memory on August 31, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Center Point Baptist Church of Dalton, located at 420 Center Point Dr SE, Dalton, GA, 30721.

Andrea Jordan Rhodes leaves a legacy woven into the hearts of her family and friends, a testament to a life dedicated to love, family, and the joy of shared moments. She will be deeply missed, and her spirit will continue to inspire those she touched throughout her life.
