Andrea Mary Valdez, Age 53, passed away on November 15, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on July 18th, 1972, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Andrew and Evelyn Valdez.
Hobbies and Accomplishments: Andrea was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, and graduated from Granger High School in 1990. Andrea earned an associate’s degree and, for 20 years, was a dedicated Medical Assistant. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Andrea also loved gardening, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
Andrea was a dedicated daughter, mom, grandmother, godmother, and a fighter. She faced many health challenges, and even in her weakest moments, she always found the strength to keep going. Her children were her entire world, no matter the time or day; if they needed her, she was there without hesitation.
She cherished her grandchildren deeply. Her first grandchild, Jaxon, was truly her other half; through the good and the hard times, their bond was unbreakable. She was so proud to be a grandmother. She had one granddaughter, Lexi, who is truly her twin, and all her grandbabies brought her endless joy and purpose. Every holiday season, she made sure to gather the kids to make homemade ornaments, something we will continue to do every year in honor of her memory.
Anyone who knew her knew she loved sipping her Stella Rose wine and spending time talking with her cousin and best friend, Crystal.
Andrea survived by her children, Ramon (Alicia), Nicholas, and Gabriel. Her siblings, Damian and Maria, and her grandchildren, Jaxon, Alexandrea, Maximus, Abel, Arlo, Michael, Isaiah, and Tavian. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Evelyn Valdez.
Funeral services will be held on November 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery, located at 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84084. Interment will take place at Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery at a later date.
