Andy “Coco” Sanchez
Andy “Coco” Sanchez, 87 years old, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, on June 25, 2025. Andy was born in Cottonwood, New Mexico on November 25, 1937, to his father Alfonso Sanchez and his mother Paula Rodriguez.
Andy was a farmer at heart, he spent many years tending to his own as well as gardening, raising animals and faithfully serving the Lord at St. Peters Catholic Church in Roswell, New Mexico. Andy worked at many different home improvement stores in Roswell, managing and working in sales. Andy enjoyed many things in life, but most importantly, was his family.
Those left to cherish Andys’ memory are his wife of 67 years, Lucy Sanchez of Roswell, NM; Sons, Manuel Sanchez, Andy Sanchez Jr. (Alice), Patrick Sanchez and Robert Sanchez (Sophia), all of Roswell, NM; Daughters, RoseMary Romero (Roger), Della Sanchez, and Nancy Rubio (Nestor Sr.), all of Roswell, NM; Brother, James “Jimmy” Sanchez (Rita) of Roswell, NM; Sister in law, Krystina Sanchez of Roswell, NM; as well as 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Andy is preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso and Paula Sanchez; Siblings, Kay Regaza, Rosa Ponce, Fred Sanchez, Pete Sanchez, Leonard Sanchez, Manuel Sanchez, and Maria Sanchez; and Great grandchildren, Angel Sanchez and Danny De La Cerda Jr.
Andy left a lasting legacy within his friends and family, that they will all cherish deeply. Andy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and he will be missed beyond belief.
A visitation will be held in honor of Andy on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 2pm to 6pm at LaGrone Funeral Chapel with a rosary beginning at 6pm. Mass will be the following day, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, located at St. Peters Catholic Church at 10am. A burial will follow Mass at South Park Cemetery.
