Andrew Aucoin Jr, born June 7, 1943 was a beloved family man, graduate of Central High, an Army Veteran and a retired firefighter. Andrew passed away peacefully in his home in Greenwell Springs on February 10, 2024. He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Aucoin, daughter Robin Aucoin, Parents Andrew & Audra Aucoin, sisters Wanda Fugler & Pat Aucoin, brothers Thomas (Sonny), Carroll & Kenny Aucoin. Survivors include granddaughter Teri Aucoin, great grandson Landon Aucoin, sister Louise May and brother Larry Aucoin and his wife Donna.
Andrew was a dedicated LSU & Saints fan. In his younger days you could find him selling watermelons or building birdhouses. He was a loving kind man, who would do anything to help anyone. A service celebrating his life will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 at 1pm at the Louisiana National Cemetery. A special thanks to Cardinal Hospice nurses, staff and CNA Lorraine for their excellent care and support during this difficult time.
