Andrew K. "Andy" Barr, age 87, a resident of Plainfield, IL since 1999, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at The Pearl of Joliet, IL. He was born on December 13, 1938, in Chicago, IL.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Overman-Jones Funeral Home, 15219 Joliet Rd. (Corner of Rt. 30 and Rt. 59), Plainfield, IL 60544.
A celebration of Andy's life will be held on Thursday, March 12, at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 24024 W. Main St., Plainfield, IL 60544, (815) 436-9847, with Rev. Dr. David P. Balla officiating.
Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, 11333 S. Central Ave., Oak Lawn, IL 60453, (708) 636-1200, for graveside services.
