It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andrew "Dru" Justin Brown, 35 of Newberry, FL, on July 23, 2024. He was a graduate of Newberry High School class of 2007 and furthered his education, obtaining his Masters in Mass Communication from the great Bethune-Cookman University. He became employed by the University as the Web and Media Specialist until 2014.
He leaves to cherish his memory, devoted and loving parents Lawson (Ora) Brown of Newberry, FL, Brother Christopher Brown, Ashburn, VA, Sister Heather Brown Gainesville, FL, Nephew, Clark Brown Gainesville, FL, Grandmother, Annie Brown Gainesville, FL and an abundance of loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
His service will be held at 11:00 am. on August 3, 2024, at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 120 SE Williston Road Gainesville, FL 32641.
Arrangements entrusted to Forest Meadows. In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be made in Andrew's honor to his alma mater that held a special place in his heart - Bethune-Cookman University, https://www.cookman.edu/donate/index.html. Your contributions will continue Andrew's commitment to education and leave a lasting impact on future generations.
