I was blessed to have known this man since our little league days. He was always confident, chest out, shoulders back and chin held high. A great athlete and better teammate. We always asked about each others families when we saw each other because we had a mutual respect for each others fathers. I´m sorry you were taken from us so soon brother, but I know you and your dad are embracing each other now. I know how much you missed him. Rest easy bud, glad I was able to know you for all these years.

My first memory of Andy was playing against him in flag football during our middle school years. He was an intense guy even back then, and I remember whenever I got the ball which was pretty often, that I tried to go to the opposite side of wherever he was lined up at. He was always making these grunting noises and flying all over the field, and I distinctly remember after I had scored one time, that as he was passing me coming off of the field, he said "nice play". I´ve messaged back and forth with Andy over the last several years trying to help him out with some basic veterans benefits stuff through the VA, and the last post that I saw from him was him having breakfast with his daughter and son in-law, and he had a big bright smile and mentioned how excited he was to soon be a grandpa. So while I´m sad that he´s no longer here, I´m quite confident that that big personality of his will never be forgotten by all who knew and loved him. Rest in Peace Sailor, and God bless the Burroughs family during this time of loss.
