Andrew A. Elkshoulder Jr was born on August 6, 1973, to Andrew Elkshoulder Sr and Mary Coriz Elkshoulder, was a member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe, Dog Soldier Society, and Santo Domingo Pueblo. The Lord called our brother home on July 18, 2025 in the presence of his beloved family. His Indian name was 'Walks Nice'. He attended Busby High School and decided to start his life sooner and earned his GED. Soon after he decided to follow the family tradition and become a soldier, so he enlisted in the United States Army 1995 to 1999, where he was in the Airborne division and an Army Ranger. In the military he got to see the world and shared his stories and experiences with family. Later on he attended Black Hills State University where he earned his bachelor's degree in environmental science.
He was a prayerful person, being a proud member of the Native American Church. Andy Jr was active and resourceful in Cheyenne traditions and ceremonies. Our Native American Church family will miss your songs, presence and prayers, your art and fan making skills.
Andy Jr was the eldest of 8 siblings. He was a very humble and easy-going person, uncle, brother, father, grandpa. After his military service he married Michelle Littlewolf, and later in 2018 met Juliet Fisher, whom he married April 17, 2022 in Las Vegas, NV. Andy immediately fell in love with lil' Cazz (son) whom he helped raise during their reunion. Andy Jr was always humorous in his life, often joking about Ranger them, or smoke em. He was always proud of his recipe ranger stew and always loved his green chilli stew. Jr was a great inspiration to everyone, positive in life, and just do it attitude giving off a positive vibe in any situation. Andy Jr is survived by his mother, Mary Coriz Elkshoulder (Tomasito Coriz), mother Ella Elkshoulder, brothers Courage, Drew (Alethea), Neil, Jon (Jessica), and his sisters Cristal (Tanner), Andriea, and Jessica Coriz (Michael Yazzie).
