In the early morning of September 22, 2025 Our sweet baby boy James Dennis Elk Shoulder went back home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. James was five weeks old, he had a sweet smile and curiosity that we will miss for the rest of our lives.

As young as James was he had already been night fishing with his parents. Hunting out in the hills and all over the hillsides on afternoon drives. James was deeply and unconditionally loved by all who knew him.

Whenever James's dad got off work and he heard his daddy's voice. James would smile and wake up to see him before going back to sleep. James knew his mother's voice and giggle. James would look at her with such love and affection. James spent a lot of time at his grandparents Jules and Crissy's home. Bathing, sleeping and receiving all the love and affection they offered. They prayed with him all the time, his Papa Jules sang hand game songs to put him to sleep. While his Kaalè Crissy sang gospel hymns and prayer songs that calmed him. James would listen and often fall asleep peacefully. He will always be loved and missed, knowing he's in the arms of our Savior Jesus Christ. It brings peace to our broken hearts.

The short time he was here with us, he brought so much joy and happiness to our quiet home. Lord be with us in this time of grieving and hold him close in your precious arms until we can hold him again.
