Andrew "Drew" Dean Hendrix, 35 years of age, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 in Springfield, Missouri. Drew was born December 12, 1988 to Tim and Cindy Hendrix, in Springfield, Missouri.
Drew grew up in Springfield, where he attended and graduated from Kickapoo High School. After his schooling, Drew went on to a career at MD-Kinney, in Springfield, Missouri.
Drew met the love of his life, Jessica Hendrix, who he went on to marry July 16, 2011. To this his two beloved daughters were born, Emma and Audrey Hendrix.
Drew is preceded in death by his great grandparents, Jewel "Joe" and Mildred Hendrix, Jutt and Geraldine Brundage, Earnest and Georgia Osburn, and Harold and Marie Carlson.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica (Platowsky) Hendrix; his children, Emma Hendrix, age 8, and Audrey Hendrix, age 5; his parents, Tim Hendrix and Cindy (Osburn) Hendrix; his brothers, Lee (Erica) Hendrix, and Shelby (Leah) Hendrix; his grandparents, Larry and Bonnie (Brundage) Hendrix, and Dean and Frances (Carlson) Osburn; his aunt, Debbie (Steve) Brewster, and Jeanette (Brian) Schwarz, as well as a host of other relatives and numerous friends.
In his free time, Drew enjoyed working and driving cars, and going off-roading. Drew also enjoyed being outdoors, and could often be found camping, biking, and running.
Drew accepted Christ as a young boy and was baptized at Hamlin Baptist Church. Drew was well known to be selfless, caring, and the person that you could count on by all that met and loved him. Drew was never more than a phone call away, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it.
Drew will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Seminole Baptist Church at 12:00 PM (noon). It will be immediately followed by a funeral service at Seminole Baptist Church at 2:00 PM.
Care and arrangements have been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home.
