Andrew G. Johnson

Andrew G. Johnson, 62, of Ashville, died Saturday February 28, 2026, after a long battle with many complications at his home in Watts Flats with his family by his side.

An area resident all his life, he was born February 25, 1964, in Jamestown, the son of Joan Hornstrom Johnson and the late Gail Johnson.

He was a 1982 graduate of Panama Central School.

Andy was a jack of all trades who enjoyed working with his hands. Always willing to share his gifts, ready to help anyone that needed. He loved growing up on the family farm which instilled in him a love of the land and hard work. He enjoyed his furry family members, baking and cooking as well as watching movies with his family. He loved his old red truck and "the Buick" but mostly his family and friends.

He was a long-time member of Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and the American Legion Sons.

He is survived by his wife Terrie Pegan Johnson, whom he married December 17, 1994; and his two daughters Kristin and Ashley Johnson whom he adored besides his mother.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his sister Michelle Johnson – Anderson and his brother Jeffrey Johnson.

The memorial service will be held at 6 pm Tuesday, March 10 in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received from 3-6 pm prior to the service Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to the Panama Volunteer Fire Department Rescue.
