Andrew J. Longenecker, 58, of Shillington, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Tower Health Reading Hospital. Born in Willow Street, Andy was the son of Dale K. Longenecker and the late Mary Ellen (Landis) Longenecker. He was the loving husband of Donna L. (Sidelinker) Longenecker for 13 years.
Andy grew up in Willow Street and graduated from Penn Manor High School, class of 1985. He owned and operated his own cleaning service, Get Your Clean On, for 38 years. Although the cleaning service industry was not normally occupied by males, he embraced the challenge of earning his clientele and rapport. His customers became friends and he often went way above his duties by helping them with chores and needs such as pet care and transportation. Andy was a very caring person, the kind of guy who never met a stranger. Andy loved his children and grandchildren and had a special relationship with each of them. A big family Christmas was always important to him. He loved traveling with Donna and Cape May was a favorite. Andy enjoyed cooking and loved to eat. When dining out, he’d often order his meal and take-out in the same sitting. Andy trusted in God for all things and was a member of West Wyomissing Chapel in West Lawn. Orange was his favorite color, Gin was his favorite drink, and he had a fun appreciation for a crisp pair of white Fila sneakers. Andy loved his wife and no matter the request, he would say, "I got it, Baby."
In addition to his wife and father, Andy is survived by his children, Madison Longenecker of Lancaster and Annie Moore of Mountville, Michelle Dixon of East Earl, and Michael Gracely (Lianne) of Akron; grandchildren, Joslynn, Jack, Sage, Fynn, Evie, Elye, Phoenix, & Willow; and three brothers, Carl Longenecker (Lori), Phil Longenecker (Barb), and Dave Longenecker (Jodee).
Services will be held on Sat., Mar.14th at the West Wyomissing Chapel, 2055 Reading Blvd, West Lawn, PA 19609. Visitation: 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Celebration of Life: 2:00 p.m.
