Andrew Patrick Lovas, 7, passed unexpectedly on Thursday, October 12, 2023. Andrew was born January 13, 2016 to Christine Lovas in Barberton, Ohio He was a beloved brother to Evan and Juliana; grandson to Donna Lovas; nephew to Matthew Lovas, Anne (Attila) Vamos and cousin to many; great-nephew of Dennis (Joyce) Lovas, Bob Lovas, and Judy (Ron) Olson; Kathy Bixler and Mark Harding. Andrew was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Lovas. He was a lifelong resident of Barberton and parishioner of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Andrew was a special little boy and loved by all. His pure innocence and spirit of adventure inspired all who knew him. Andrew will be remembered for his love of family, animals, books, math, music, video games, baseball, and nature. He will be forever missed. The family will receive friends at Campfield Hickman Collier Funeral Home, 566 W Park Ave., Barberton, Ohio 44203 on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 6–8 p.m. A Mass for Andrew will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Barberton 44203 with Fr. Robert Jackson officiating. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Thank you to all the family and friends who welcomed Andrew into their lives and loved him unconditionally especially his nurses, therapists, medical team, teachers and employees of The J.M. Smucker Company (Smucker Fam). We also wish to formally recognize and thank the following individuals and organizations that helped to provide an amazing quality of life for Andrew. Akron Children's Hospital, Barberton Fire Department, Cleveland Clinic Children's, A Special Wish Northeast Ohio, Tallmadge Challenger Baseball, The 24 in 24, A Kid Again, Mayo Clinic, Matthew Reed Family, Inclusioneers, Give Kids the World Village, and Dayton Children's Hospital.
