Andrew M. Matter

Andrew M. Matter of Mullica Hill, NJ, passed on April 28, 2023. Age 18. Beloved son of Jeff and Lauren Matter (née Neuhaus), loving grandson of Eileen and the late David Matter, Jr., dear nephew of Robert and Orania Neuhaus and David, III and Marie Matter. Andrew is also survived by Leah Derby. He is loved by cousins, scouts, friends, and neighbors.
Andrew was a business student at Rowan College of South Jersey while lifeguarding for Gloucester County Institute of Technology. His loved ones will tell you that pets and food were his everything. He was a good friend to many lighting up the room with his jokes and charismatic personality. Friend, Leah, and Basketball were all close to his heart. One highlight for Andrew was coaching a Clearview Rec basketball team this past Winter. He loved all things outdoors. Hunting, fishing, Scouting and even landscaping. Andrew proudly achieved the ranking of Eagle Scout after completing his Eagle project improving Mullica Hill Pond.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Andrew's life Thursday 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Egizi Funeral Home, 119 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. At 7:00 PM there will be a time of sharing thoughts, memories, prayers, and love offered by family and friends.
