It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of Andrew 'Andreas' Michalakopoulos.
Andrew 'Andreas' Michalakopoulos was born on May 22, 1945 in Athens, Greece, and passed away on February 7, 2025 in North Hills, California surrounded by his loving family.
He was one of 7 children born to Kyriakos and Ekaterini Michalakopoulos. In the year of 1965 Andrew came to the United States, where he met Erma Butcher. On December 3, 1966 Andrew and Erma were married, and together welcomed two sons into the world.
Andrew loved staying active and participating in sports. He enjoyed scuba diving, boating, flying planes, and soccer; but he had a special place in his heart for traveling the world with his wife.
Andrew is survived by his wife Erma and their sons, Andreas and Dhmhtrios, grandchildren Chiara Michalakopoulou and Hunter Michalakopoulos, great-granddaughter Athena Michalakopoulou, his brothers, Nico, Marco, and George, his sister, Katerina, his godchildren, Nick, Michael, Christina, and Stasi, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Andrew touched many lives with his vivacious spirit and passion for life. He is deeply missed by his family and friends who love him dearly.
