A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM Monday, July 28, 2025 in the Chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA.

Andrew Chance Ostic, affectionately known as "Chance," left this world on July 24, 2025, at the age of 29. Born on September 18, 1995, in Monroe, Louisiana.

Chance, a proud veteran, devoted six years of his life to military service, demonstrating his commitment to his country and the values of bravery and dedication. Chance was the epitome of loving kindness, known for his adventurous spirit and boundless creativity. Whether he was hunting in the quiet of the forest, feeling the wind on his face while riding his bike, or polishing his cherished car, Chance's zest for life was infectious.

His most treasured moments, however, were spent with his beloved daughter, Lilith Araya Ostic, affectionately known as "Lily." Together, they embarked on countless adventures and worked on special projects that fostered a deep and enduring bond.

Chance was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Leland Ostic; grandmother, Leilani Ostic Garret; aunt and uncle, Butch and Diane Hibbard; great grandmother, Vonna Higginbotham.

Chance is survived by his devoted daughter Lily, who was the light of his life; his loving parents, Brandie and Paul Ostic; his siblings Devan Michael Ostic and his wife Cassie, Jazman Ann Ostic, and Alanna LaKay Ostic; and an overwhelming number of cousins, friends, and extended family members who will miss his lively presence.

His life-long friends, Hunter Hester and Tyler Moore, will remember him for his loyalty and unwavering friendship.

Chance's legacy is one of love and joy. His stories will continue to be told, and his laughter will echo in the hearts of those he left behind. His transition from this earth is not just a time of mourning, but also a time to honor a soul that truly understood the essence of life. Chance, your adventurous spirit will be deeply missed, your creative spark will continue to inspire, and your love will always be cherished. Rest in peace, dear son, father, brother, and friend.
