Andrew Bernard Pfister Jr.

Andrew Bernard Pfister, Jr., age 83, passed away peacefully the afternoon of August 17, 2024, in Chicago. A lifelong Chicago resident, he was born November 19, 1940, to the late Muriel Pfister (nee Sappington). Beloved husband of 48 years to the late Geraldine "Geri" Pfister; cherished uncle of Mark Pfister, Steve (Jan) Pfister, Debbie (John) Bay, and Kathie Pfister; adored great uncle of Andrew and Kyle Pfister, Samantha (Erik) Hill, Katlyn Bay (Evan Lobdell), Victoria Pfister (Cody Bakker), Allison Bay, Gregory Pfister, and Elizabeth Pfister; dear brother of the late Dennis Pfister and the late Gregory Pfister; and proud pet dad of Smoochie the bird, Cleo the bird, Snuffy the dog, and Angel the cat. Longtime parishioner of St. Tarcissus Catholic Church, proud member of the United States Air Force and his local VFW post, and dedicated worker of over 50 years at Classic Sheet Metal. Although he was a private person, his adoration for Geri, whom he affectionately referred to as "my love," never left any doubt about his favorite person in life. Throughout his life, Andrew always felt a compassion to help those in need and regularly donated to various charities throughout the country. Always quick with a joke and a laugh, Andrew's sense of humor will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Nyuk nyuk.
