We were honored and privileged to have know Dr. Andrew Schally. He was not only a brilliant and very modest scientist who inspired so many of his students and colleagues, but above all he was a great friend to us, always ready to lighten the mood with a funny anecdote and to give inspiration and moral support. We felt very sorry we could not attend Andrew's funeral, in view of our hardship due to hurricane Helene. We will never forget the wonderful man Andrew was and we thank his wife Lourdinha and his son Gordon for taking so well care of him that he could practice his passion for science all the way through age 97. Thank you Andrew for everything. Heaven definitely has one Angel more. Maritza and Ralf, Augusta, GA.
