Charles Milcic Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Alfieri Funeral Home, Inc. on Mar. 20, 2026.
Charles "Chuck" Milcic, of North Huntington, peacefully passed on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the age of 74, after courageously battling a long illness, and surrounded by his loving family. Chuck was the beloved husband of Bonnie (Bendtsen) Milcic. He was the loving father of Martina (Mykael) Landstorfer and Luke Milcic. Beloved uncle of Maurice (Elisa) DeLucia and Ken (Becky) DeLucia. Chuck was preceded in passing by his mother, Barbara Milcic.

Chuck attended the University of Miami in Florida as a scholarship football player. He went on to play professionally for the Washington Redskins and the Houston Oilers. Following his career in professional football, Chuck served in the United States Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne jumping out of planes.

After his time in the Army, Chuck moved on to a career in education. He taught History and Science, worked as a Guidance Counselor, and Assistant Principal. Sports continued to play a part of his life as he coached football and track, as well as serving as an Athletic Director.

Chuck was at every football practice and game and at all the track meets for his children and nephews. He had a deep love of all sports, particularly football. He also loved spending his days on his back porch with a good cigar watching them with his beloved dogs, Smokey, Cersei, Jasmine, and Stella.

Chuck had the best sense of humor that he got from watching the Three Stooges. He loved watching action movies, like James Bond, while enjoying a good beer, scotch, and bourbon. He was also a devoted Catholic and attended Mass daily and instilled this on his family. He will always be remembered as the most interesting man in the world.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 28, at 10am at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Forest Hills. Please visit us at www.alfierifuneralhome.com for online condolences.
