Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home - HuntersvilleAndrew Charles Sikso of Charlotte NC, and previously of Latham, NY, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025. Born May 24,1934 in Hornell NY, Andrew was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Sikso. Andrew married Frances Sikso on July 21,1956 and they were married for 67 years before her passing in 2024.
Andrew was a supervisor for AT&T for over 30 years. After retirement he spent several years as a bus driver for the North Colonie School District. He was also a volunteer for senior citizens, and a Eucharistic Minister for Our Lady of Assumption Church in Latham, NY, and St. Marks Catholic Church in Huntersville, NC. He was a former member of the Colonie Elks Lodge and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Survivors of Andrew include his three beloved daughters, Beth (John) Morrone of Florida, Patricia Best of Mooresville, NC and Kieran Sikso of New York, NY; six cherished grandchildren, Joe, Angela, Lena, Johnnie, Ryan, and Tyler; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his son-in-law Scott Best.
A memorial service to honor Andrew will be held at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC on Saturday, September 20 at 11:00 am. Burial for Andrew, as well as his late wife Frances, will take place at Glenwood Cemetery in Mooresville, NC following the service.
