Donohue Funeral Home - WayneAndrew Evan Walker, 60, of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 28, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him dearly.
Born in Buffalo, New York, Andrew grew up across Pittsburgh, Michigan, and Ohio. He later built a life with his beloved wife, Carolyn (née McElderry), in Chicago before settling in Berwyn.
Andrew served proudly in the U.S. Navy for four years, carrying that quiet strength and steady sense of duty with him throughout his life.
Family meant everything to Andrew. He and Carolyn loved each other and built a life devoted to their family. Her passing in June 2025 was a heartbreak he carried with him these past eight months.
Andrew’s greatest joy was being a father to his three sons, Evan, Liam, and Patrick. He was so proud of them and loved who they were becoming.
He was the son of George Walker and the late Paula (née Lippincott) Walker, and a loving brother to Allison Walker of Newtown, PA. He was preceded in death by his sister Jennifer. Andrew is also survived by many nieces and nephews who adored their uncle—especially for his football debates, easy humor, and the way he always made them all feel special.
Andrew built a successful career in the refractory industry, following in his father’s footsteps and spending many years with Vesuvius. He traveled extensively and genuinely enjoyed life on the road—the quiet rhythm of driving and connecting with people wherever he went.
A fourth-generation Walker on Walloon Lake, Michigan, Andrew found his happiest place on the water. The lake was his sanctuary, where he found joy fishing from his pontoon boat and spending time with family. Wherever he was, Andrew remained a devoted fan of the University of Michigan sports teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Chicago Cubs, and had a special spot for his beloved bulldogs.
Andrew lived a life centered on his family and surrounded by people he loved, including the wonderful friends who were part of his life in Chicago and, especially, in Berwyn.
Relatives and friends are invited to Andrew's visitation on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 9:30 Am to 11:00 AM followed by his funeral mass at 11:00 AM at St. Monica's Church, 63 Main Ave, Berwyn, PA. Interment at St. Monica's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Andrew’s name may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation of America (engage.mymsaa.org) or to the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org).
