Andrew Alphonso Wright, "Ice Man", was born into the union of the late Hugh Sr. and Rose Wright. He was the sixth child of 11 born. His oldest sibling, Dorothy Franklin and the fifth born, Jackie Lee (Bobby), preceded him in death.

Andrew Alphonso attended Miami-Dade County Public Schools and graduated from Miami Killian Sr. High. He later gained employment with Gulliver Schools where he was a dedicated employee for over 40 years and was still employed until his passing.

Andrew Alphonso was a loving and caring person who enjoyed fishing and music. He enjoyed spending time with his children, which began with his first love and wife, Elmetra Wright. Elmetra also preceded him in death.

In 1990, Andrew Alphonso met Theresa. They decided to unite in holy matrimony on September 4, 2004. At that time, they blended their families together, in a loving and nurturing home. Andrew Alphonso also had a passion for being a DJ. He and his wife, Theresa, formed the Wright Choice Entertainment.

On June 11, 2025, Andrew Alphonso Wright answered the call to eternal rest. Preceding him in death are his children, Altrika and Melissa.

He leaves to mourn his passing but cherish his memories; his loving wife Theresa Wright; his children: Alphonso Travis, Cleve (Reba), Shawanna, Flora, Antron (Jessica), Tawana (Jermel), Alisha, Lamont; extended family: Leroy, Juanita, Vanessa, Jeffrey, Greg and Lee Smith; 23 grandchildren; 3 great-grands; a special daughter, Letitia Joseph; his siblings: Catherine (Robert) North, Clara (Ken) Johnson, Hugh Jr., Jerome, James, Bruce (Jackie), Rosemary, Mildred, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss his presence dearly.
